Vince Gattone, Ph.D., a professor of pathology and cell biology at the Indiana University School of Medicine was diagnosed with terminal cancer and has decided to use his illness as a learning experience for his students. Dr. Gattone recently presented and took questions about his own case during grand rounds, a tradition in which a physician presents the details of a particularly interesting or challenging case to his or her peers and students.
